Life is breathtakingly beautiful
Before my training with Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, I was very much a complainer. Often, I may not have expressed it out loud, but I always look for what I don’t have or what I wish to have. I also never knew how to deal with the challenges that came my way and therefore when something bad happens, I continued to dwell on the pain and struggle, and I forget all about the good things that I have in life. And I was very good at paying attention to the negative things around me, but on the other hand, the good thing almost seems like it never exists in my world.
Being ungrateful lead me into becoming depressed. I had countless of days where I would wake up in the morning and not having the energy to do anything but to hope to just stay on my bed all day- not having to put my energy into anything or associating with anyone. I was very unhappy, dissatisfied and ungrateful.
Now, I feel like a different person. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to train under Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim because she teaches me about many aspects in life and especially about gratitude. Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim opens up my spiritual eyes to see the beauty all around me. Now, I am starting to appreciate the small things in life that I usually don’t pay attention to. I am learning to understand that the little things in life are those that actually count and I put my values on non-materialistic things that money cannot buy! I start to see the world differently and life is a precious gift filled with so much grace.
I really enjoy this feeling when I can take a deep breath, pay attention to what exists in my world, then smile and say to myself, “I love my life!” Have you ever had this moment where you are so happy to be alive and you are thankful for all the blessings that have come your way? For myself, I know I have to exercise filling my heart with gratitude and not worry about what I don’t have at this moment, but be thankful for what I do have, because I know I am so blessed in many ways.
